For Frog The Bell Tolls - English (Gameboy GB)

For the Frog the Bell Tolls is a complete English fan translation of the Japanese exclusive Gameboy game 'Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru'.  This is a custom made Enlgish Translated repro game which has a mix of platforming and action RPG. The game engine for this game went on to be used for Link’s Awakening.

For the Frog the Bell Tolls tells the story of young Prince of Sable as he adventures on to save the kidnapped Princess Tiramisu (mmm). Together, with the prince's pal, Prince Richard the two embark on a grand quest. Their adventure catches a hiccup however when both heroes into frogs (ala Chrono Trigger) - this of course, complicates things. Unusual and hilarious, For the Frog the Bell Tolls runs on the same graphical engine as GameBoy favorite Link's Awakening - Zelda fans will also find gentle references and nods.
